Pakistan is set to reopen its supply route into neighbouring Afghanistan tomorrow.

Tuesday's announcement to regrant NATO forces access to Pakistani territory for shipments into Afghanistan comes after a meeting between the cabinet of Asif Ali Zardari, the Pakistani president, and the nation's defence committee.

Supply lines into Afghanistan had been closed for  nearly six months following a deadly NATO air raid that killed 24 Pakistani solders in the Shamsi air base in November.

Earlier in the day, President Zardari was invited to next week's NATO summit in Chicago.
