Lawmakers in the Czeh Republic have approved a plan to withdraw their troops from Afghanistan in the next two years.
Tuesday's decision would see the number of Czech troops, largely stationed in eastern Logar province, go from the current 593 to 170 by December 2014, when international forces are expected to withdraw from the Central Asian nation.
The Czech republic first deployed troops to Afghanistan in 2002, where their troops have largely worked in reconstruction efforts.
Prague has lost five of its troops in Afghanistan.
