Hundreds of Afghans stage anti-Pakistan protest

Last modified: 5 May 2013 01:00

Hundreds of Afghans in northeastern Afghanistan have staged a protest against neighbouring Pakistan.

Protesters burned a Pakistani flag in Asadabad, capital of Kunar province.

Saturday's protests come days after the two nations' armies fought a five-hour late night gunbattle on the eastern border along Nangarhar province of Afghanistan. An Afghan border guard died in the clash.

Kunar province has also been subject to cross-border shelling from Pakistan for several months.
