Police killed in Kapisa suicide blast

A suicide bomber targeting local police forces, has detonaed himself in eastern Afghanistan, witnesses say.

Monday's bombing in Kapisa province has killed four police and five civilians, according to witness accounts.

The attack came during market day in the Tagab district of Kapisa province.

The blast is the second in as many weeks in the eastern province. 

Last week's blast led to the death of four French soldiers and an announcement by Francois Hollande, the French president that the nation's soldiers would begin a withdrawal from Afghanistan in July.
