The lawyers of the Bahraini medics who were sentenced on September 29 have released a statement. 

They say in the statement that they "were extremely shocked and astonished with the verdicts passed" on the Bahraini medics. 

The statement also says that "the most essential elements for a fair trail were not available in the trail" of the medics. It references breaches of internationally recognised rights and the country's laws as well.
