Twitter has been abuzz with reports of violence in central Damascus as well as the poisoning of high-ranking officials, including President Assad's brother-in-law.
It appears that the reports are false.
Activist Alexander Page wrote this regarding the claims:
"Riad Al Asaad the FSA commander based in Turkey has given me a direct quote, that the only genuine news here is the clashes that took place in the Kafarsooseh area and that 2 explosions were heard during the process where FSA elements clashed with regime forces in the fields between that area near Mezzeh."
