More points made in the press conference by Farouq Sultan, head of Egypt's electoral commission: 

- Sultan said the commission found just 2,154 pre-marked ballots, and said almost none of them reached the ballot boxes. Shafiq's campaign had earlier alleged that there were more than one million pre-marked ballots

- Sultan also  mostly dismissed Shafiq's complaint that Christian voters were blocked from reaching polling stations in Upper Egypt
