Shafiq dismisses the Tahrir protests

Last modified: 5 Jun 2012 23:38

Ahmed Shafiq is giving an interview right now on Al-Hayat. He's been dismissive of the protests in Tahrir, arguing that their numbers are small - far less than the "million man march" they aimed for - and that some of their demands, most notably the "presidential council," have already been rejected.

His media appearances this week have all been provocative: In an interview on CBC last night, he accused the Muslim Brotherhood of killing protesters during the revolution.
