Support for judges and Mubarak in the Nile Delta
Last modified: 3 Jun 2012 14:39
Web producer Gregg Carlstrom is in Zagazig, the capital of the Nile Delta governorate of Sharqiya (Lower Egypt), where he said reactions "could not be more different from Cairo. Most people say they trust the judges, and many wish Mubarak had been acquitted."
"I trust the Egyptian judges. Whatever the Egyptian judge decides, the people must agree with him. We totally trust our judicial system." - Yahya Abdel Aziz, a shop owner.
"He should have gone free! He has many achievements. The man should be given an award, not jailed. Everyone on earth makes mistakes. He didn't take a penny from Egypt, and the court proved that." - Yahya Abdullah, a Shafiq campaign volunteer.
