The French investigative website Mediapart has just published its latest report supporting the allegations that Nicolas Sarkoy, seeking re-election in the May 6 presidential election, illegally received 50 million euros ($65.8mn) from the former Libyan lead Muammar Gaddafi as a contribution to his 2007 presidential campaign.

In the article, published quotes Baghdadi Ali al-Mahmoudi, the former Libyan prime minister currently in exile in Tunisia:

"I confirm that there is indeed a document signed by Moussa Koussa and that the payment was indeed received by M. Sarkozy."
