National Bank of Greece chairman Vassilis Rapanos has been named finance minister in a conservative-led coalition cabinet seeking to revise the country's bailout terms, officials said on Thursday.

Rapanos, 65, is a former economics professor who served in the economy ministry when Greece joined the euro in 2001.
