African leaders are meeting in Pretoria in a bid to draw up a peace proposal for Libya.

South Africa's President Jacob Zuma has already made two trips to the country to try to negotiate an end to the conflict. But so far, he has failed.

The presidents of Mali, Uganda, Mauritania and Congo-Brazzaville are attending the meeting.

Peter Greste, reporting for Al Jazeera from Pretoria, said the main topic on the agenda is to adopt a series of political reforms to eliminate what they say are the causes of the clashes.
