President of Federal electoral institute says highest number of voters in country's history

Leonardo Valdez, president of Federal electoral institute estimated that participation surpassed 62 per cent.
"This means more than 49 million citizens voted," he said. "Today's election is the one where more people have voted in the history of Mexico."
