A group of UN observers headed to Douma on Sunday in order to hold a humanitarian visit to hospitals and schools and assess the effect of the 16-month crisis in the country.
The observers started their relocation in the country where they are going to increase their numbers in four main hotspots in the country.
UN Supervision Mission in Syria announced on Saturday they entered Tremseh village, near Hama, where a carnage took place on Thursday killing more than 200 people.
In statement, the mission confirmed the use of artillery and heavy weapons.
UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon condemned what his monitors on the ground had seen as an indiscriminate bombardment that included rocket-firing helicopters in Tremseh in the rebellious Hama province.
