Realities of living in Syria: The necessity of makeshift bomb shelters

The AFP brings us this shot: Residents of Qusayr, which has come under daily bombardment, inspect a makeshift shelter underneath a tyre shop that can accommodate up to 30 people in Qusayr in Homs province near the border with Lebanon. Residents of the town are digging shelters under their homes or shops to escape to during shelling by government forces.
