Shooting broke out in Arbeen, a Damascus suburb, during a visit by UN monitors, opposition activists and Syrian state media say.

Activists said government forces had shot at demonstrators.

The video below purports to show people running away from shooting. 

Ikhbariya television channel said a "terrorist group" had planted a bomb at a checkpoint, wounding a member of the security forces.
