The Gulf state of Kuwait has decided to recall its ambassador from Damascus for "consultations" a day after Saudi Arabia took a similar measure.

"We have decided to recall our ambassador from Syria for consultations," Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammad al-Sabah told reporters. "No one can accept the bloodshed in Syria.The military option must be halted," he said on Monday.
