At least 16 people were killed during a funeral procession in al-Khalidiya district in  Homs, according to the Syrian local coordination committees.

Syrian rights activists have posted images on the Internet of heavy gunfire shooting at the mourners’ gathering, where many of them ran  for cover and were effectively trapped inside nearby homes.
