Romney eschews foreign policy in favour of economy

The US president has more impact on foreign policy than any other asepct of the US government, but Mitt Romney and the Republicans have so far not made it a priority of their campaign. Though historically foreign policy and defence issues have been staples of the Republican party, the 2012 Republican National Convention has instead, largely focused on the economy. Al Jazeera's Alan Fisher reports on why for some, Romney's foreign policy views may in fact not differ very much from Barack Obama, or even his predecessors.
