Secession still popular in southern Yemen

Aden, a major port city and the commercial capital of southern Yemen, has seen growing calls for more autonomy - perhaps seccession - since a popular uprising erupted last year. Feelings here have never healed since a 1994 civil war - on the heels of reunification in 1990 - led to the fall of Aden to the north and to a perceived attitude of marginalisation.
Waheed Rasheed, the new governor of Aden, hopes to see the city's resurgence through more economic autonomy.
