Abdul Mohd Il-Jindi, Yemen's deputy minister of information, tells Al Jazeera by phone from Sanaa:

President Saleh is not an aggressive person. he has not used Yemeni forces against any Yemeni citizens. The president has not made any attacsk against [the tribesmen]; they made these attacks. They occupied places and goverment agencies and the president will not follow them in these steps, as they are not behaving well. What are they doing this for? This is not for the sake of the Yemeni citizens."
